This has been a long time in the making: since our trip to Wales 18 years ago, when we met Georgette’s typey family and the lovely Newtonhill Naughty Boy Charlie… well, it’s been since before that—since we imported our wonderful CadlanValley Pirate, 25 years ago.
CadlanValley Stud has done extraordinarily well with this family, including being awarded Royal Welsh Female & Male Championships, as well as Supreme Champion in-hand and under saddle—no wonder they've retained five full siblings from their golden cross of Russetwood Elation and Stockham Domino: Georgia, Georgette, Golden Jubilation, Jorgie Girl, and their highly decorated stallion, CadlanValley Buzby.
We felt particularly lucky to get this colt, as we've been long wanting a colt from the Elation x Domino line, but when we visited, we also fell in love with outcross, Newtonhill Naughty Boy Charlie. At the time, we were disappointed that we couldn't get both lines. Years later, the right colt came along who encapsulated both, plus a lovely mare line for a linebreeding to top stockgetter, Elation!
We’re grateful to Yvonne and Howell for trusting us with another top stallion prospect! And we’re beyond excited to see how he will cross with our daughters from CadlanValley Pirate, Thistledown Arctic Lore, Alvesta Helios, Llanarth Tarquin, and Nerwyn Gwyn!
